Shibori Tenugui Collection
We are selling these collectible handmade tenugui from Arimatsu for the first time online outside of Japan. Tenugui are scarf-size, all-purpose towels made of lightweight cotton, used in Japan for centuries and recently popularized and collected because of their beautiful graphic designs. They are customarily used as gifts in Japan, and are a great option for the upcoming holiday season. Above are Japanese woodblock prints that exhibit tenugui worn and used in different ways.
